O.K. Guys - Here we go again!  Tim & I are under mandatory evacuation AGAIN Angry  Officials are expecting flood waters comparable to Hurricane Rita in our area.  We didn't get water in our house for Rita & I hope our luck continues.  We will be at my mom's house until the coast is clear (we are hoping by Sunday).  If the weather is O.K. in Baton Rouge tomorrow, we may very well go to the game instead of hanging around Kaplan and moping.

Stay safe!  I am sure we will be watching the surges in our area for the next day or two.

Ike?  I still don't have power from Gustav.  Undecided
The repair activities are getting closer. I can ALMOST see work from my house.
$250.00 in generator gas to date.
Bring it on!

Ya'll don't fool around.  Ike is already causing some of the areas just returned to power to go out again.  Traffic in BR is a NIGHTMARE.  My 10 minute motor to work took 35 today.

Stay safe.  Houses can be rebuilt.  You can't.

See ya'll at the end of all this.
Soon I hope.

All is finally quiet on the home front.
Our power came back on last night.
We are now "redressing" all the electrical items, packing up extensions cords and portables, removing temporary A/C units, repacking Refrigerated goods, laundry, etc.

We will still have to remove debris from our yard.  Just got our first garbage p/u on Friday since the 1st.  The tree removal guys (God bless them) cut all the trees that were near the lines so the Linemen would have a clear shot.  The cut trees are now lying on the ground behind my house and we will have to move them to the street.  A job I will not mind doing, considering all is coming back to normal after two weeks without power.  Still it will take Susan and Me a bit of time to regroup the house and our finances.  We will be back on line with all of you in a short period of time.

I am getting back in touch with the organizers of the air show in Lafayette on the 1st of November.  Will fill y'all in A.S.A.P.  So even if I don't show up for the moment,  I am working to bring the year to a close on a good note.

See you all very soon.

We made it  Grin  NO water in our house (Thank God), but I still can't get P-Mini home.  The water on the road to our house is still too deep.  So, I drive to an air strip near the house & Tim comes pick me up in his truck!  Hopefully I can drive myself within the next couple of days.  Can you believe - We NEVER lost power for this one (Sorry Dean)!
